Guys I have never had chicken before. I am new to this forum and I need serious help.
So I rescued this chicken from a chicken house when she was a chick. She wasn’t growing fast enough and they were going to kill her so I volunteered to take her home with me so she could live. Well recently (this morning) I noticed that she had laid two eggs. I didn’t think this would happen. I am confused. One of them had no shell and now her butt is really red. I just need help guys. I don’t know what to do.

Can you post pictures of her vent?
Is she the only pullet you have?
A new layer laying a shell-less egg is not that uncommon.
Laying two eggs in one day is very uncommon.

I don’t know her breed. I just got her from a chicken house. They were going to kill her because she wasn’t growing fast enough. I have never had a chicken and I know nothing about them. How do you suggest I clean her?

She's a Cornish cross. She's a meat bird. Without special restrictions on food and allowing her lots of exercise, they unfortunately do not live long.
You can get a small tub of warm soapy water just deep enough to cover her vent. Put her in the tub and slosh the water around her vent area and swish her soiled feathers in the water until you get everything off. Rinse her with clean water then towel her dry. Keep her in the house in a warm place in a small dog crate until she dries. You can get the picture before she dries.

Thank you I will post a new picture tomorrow
