Help me!!

I am trying to convince my parents to get chickens. I thought they would be a great idea and possibly profitable for the family. Any ideas on how to convince them?! Also looking for cheap breeding pairs or chicks/eggs but will look at all!

It really depends on what is best for your family. Are you looking for birds that are good egg layer or birds to eat? or both? How many eggs per day are you needing to keep your family's intake satisfied? (like my family eats 2-3 eggs per day per person, I have three family members (including myself) so I will need at least 9 birds that lay daily to feed my family) How much space do you have for your chicken coop/run? or will they be 'free range'? Different birds need different amount of space to be healthy and happy.
