I guess I am gonna be the bad guy here and say its your fault for trapping him and keeping him around for 2 days. He thinks he now has a forever home. I feel bad for the poor roo, probably just needs love and a good home. He is probably charging you for keeping him trapped for a few days while you decide whether or not to keep him.... If he just showed up on his own i'd shoot him. I don't mean to offend anyone here just stating my personal opinion.

Our farm has a motto. Vicious is delicious. Get a fish net (I use the kind used for salmon) and net him when he comes at you. There ya go! Dinner came to you =) Lucky!

I've always gone with "mean roos taste better", but I like yours, with the rhyme! It sounds better.

Can you shoot it? Most any small pellet gun should kill a chicken. Otherwise maybe you could stand guard duty with the hose?

You're bigger than he is, he can't really hurt you. Put on your big girl pants and go out there and show him who's boss! You're not gonna let some puny little chicken brain bird keep you from enjoying a nice day are you?!

(Ok, that's me trying to encourage you, did it work???)

I would shoot it but I don't own a pellet gun. This rooster has no clock, he crows anytime in the early mornings starting at 1:30 am and on. Everyone is losing sleep in this neighborhood

I'd catch him and dispatch him. Broomstick method is probably the easiest way as you only need a pole of some kind
