Help! MG and Tylan 50!

Ok, say mom is talking to our vet today who does CVI’s before our shows to get her hands on some antibiotic. I just came up from the coop and got about 18 mLs of water mixed with rooster booster in him via syringe. How vulnerable are chicks and ducks to it? I change my clothes and wash my hands before I handle the chicks anyway but they most likely have already been exposed one way or another. And the ducks live in another part of the coop.

Eventually all birds will be exposed or test positive. That is why it is good to close your flock when you have a disease that makes carriers. Chicks can get much sicker and may not be as productive later. Ducks do get MG as well. If you ever lose a chicken for any reason, getting a necropsy through your state vet is a good way to get some testing for diseases. They can perform a PCR test for MG. There also is a lab in CA who does nasal swabs for a whole respiratory panel of diseases:
