hey,

my Muscovy duck egg piped internally but not externally. its been 7 hours since the it piped for the first time. i helped one that was alive but later died. (it was in the egg for like 15 hours in the same position) i don't want the same thing to happen to this one like the other one so i don't want to help it out!!! how long does it take for a Muscovy duck to hatch out completely from the first internal pip??? we are on day 33 of day 35.

I posted on your other post, but it can take 36 hrs from internal pip to zip so try to be patient.

I am on day thirty five of incubation and my eggs are internally piped and rolling around like crazy but I don't see any hole or external pips yet.I thought I read somewhere that the longer it takes for an egg to Externally pip after the internal pip the faster it will hatch completely when it does finally pip. Could be wrong this is my first batch but all we can do is wait. I thought I saw a beak in the air sac yesterday, But now I believe it was just pushing against the membrane because today there was opening beaks and heads in the air sac.
