Hi everyone, I have a Muscovy duck which is roughly 7-8 months old and has started to make nests in her nesting box. Is it normal for her to make a nest and then leave it? It’s been happening for roughly 2 weeks now and she’ll create a nest and then leave it shortly after. Today I put new straw in her box and she made quite a large nest but left it straight after. Any tips to help me understand this behaviour? I’m new to having ducks lay eggs so I’m uncertain as to what to expect. I have 2 female Indian runner ducks that are doing the exact same. Do they return when they’re ready to lay eggs or should they be laying eggs when they make the nest? Any help on getting them to lay would also be much appreciated
