Around my house we have two ponds with Muscovies in them, I noticed one of the females had 6 babies, but the other one was missing (her nest was right next door). I went looking for her and found her dead two houses over. :( I now have her 16 eggs, 5 have said hello lol.
I've made a incubator out of a Styrofoam cooler with a hole for a lamp. They've been sitting at 97-99 and 60% humidity. I don't know how long they were left alone, but its been four days since I took them and a few have gone really dark.
I have never hatched before, and some are looking better then others. One in particular is further progressed like the others but some yolk ( I think?) Was sitting on the bottom side when I turned it, and it fogged the bottom half of the egg. I still think I see the baby near the top but it isn't one of my moving ones. There's also some veins still, is it bad?

do u put the ducks up at night, i once had this problem with my muscovies when i didnt put them up about 3 to 4 years ago and the females would nest, i lost 3 females i think maybe more off nests and stuff, once a pred finds one sitting on a nest they look for others, so best to make a safe place for them to go up like the nesting mothers and babies, and another one to put up the others at night, i promise it'll make a huge safety difference, all u need is chicken wire around the sides ( especially the bottom) and chicken wire on the top, and cement blocks/bricks around the bottom to make sure every ones safe, and i can be in a pen like this

either 8 by 8 or 10 by 10 preferably ( I've been saying this a lot today lately :/ ) i hope every thing goes well
