Lulu definitely needs surgery, will try to post photo of her feet. Hoping the vet can do it asap. No infection and eating well etc. She will be the poster child for what happens to dumped domestic ducks. Am very angry that people are so thoughtless about their cruelty and that Tractor Supply insists on selling ducklings and chicks.

I totally agree wth you about dumping ducks and all animals.

What will the vet do in surgery, poor little one, her feet have really taken a beating

Remove all necrotic tissue, probably most or all of her feet. Am hoping maybe can get her a prosthetic. Surgery scheduled for 1/7/2026. Smearing Triple Antibiotic creme then Vet. Dermal gel on her too 2x daily. I think parts are going to fall off but as long as I can keep her from infection/septic, she should survive.

Awe. My heart hurts for her that she was abandoned and neglected. But, I'm so glad that you found her and are doing what's best for her.
