My 1 yo make goose suddenly acts dizzy. He nearly loses balance and did fall a couple times. He is eating and drinking. He still tries to mount his girl, but falls off. No visible signs of trauma, did loose some neck feathers a couple months ago but it seems to be filling back in. He has a mate who has no problems. They are fed pellets meant for geese/turkeys. They live adjacent to chickens who are well. They range daily, though mostly apart from the chickens. It’s been total ice/ snow lately in ct. just melted so now it’s muddy. They have fresh water each day, but no swimming pool yet.
I don’t have any avian vet nearby for hours and even those won’t see birds because of the bird flu.

If you have any Vitamin B12 or complex B vitamins I would give him some right away, or even poultry cell or a complex vitamin mix.

Could he have gotten a hold of anything toxic?
Questions that others will ask what do his stools look like?
Any discharge from his Nostrils coughing or acting like he is trying to clear his nostrils. Is he breathing regular?

I doubt he could’ve gotten into anything. No nasal discharge and I will che k his poops. Ty so much

Please update if he gets better! Something similar happened to my friend’s goose - suddenly he was falling and losing his balance, then one day he just couldn’t get up. Vet put him on antibiotics and later he passed - my friend found out that someone had been poisoning animals in the area and that her goose was actually poisoned it was so horrible, though it was also accompanied by him struggling to breathe - if it’s been icy recently he could have possibly injured a leg internally somehow? Hoping for a speedy recovery!

Yes he’s eating some and drinking very well. I wonder about an ear infection
