have lost 2 of my hens my little LipStick on July 2nd 2020 i loved her so
much and made me laugh, she would be the first to
come out of their pin and the first to go in after 4:40pm when it was feeding or treats LipStick would
hop up on the tires when my back would be turned and get into their mealworms or when i would open
a new bag of food and LipStick would run out and let everyone else know that mommy has treats and more feed
but i found her died blood all over the place but no marks of cuts on her and she was not swollen and today
my little Blondie died in front of me i couldn't save her there was blood in their
pin . and she had poop on her butt so i went to clean her and i had smelt dried blood.
smell of something that died ,I am very heart broken that they died . i miss
them so very much. my son doesn't know why that they died like that and we can't
find out why my son looked up what coase for hens to just die and he keeps
getting heart attacks, egg bond, stressed . or they ate something .
we looked .sorry i am having a hard time right now i had them for not even a year they would of been a year old come
next month Blondie was something too when i would make their mealworm bag shake she would the first to get to me
it was a race who will get to mommy first ,Blondie would be the second to go out and come into their house.
she even wold jump up to grab their worm bag out of my hands or pull my pants leg to see what i was doing.
this is my chickens daily chart i would let my girls (4) out in the front yard with my 2 roosters ,
except on bad weather days , but every 2 to 3 days their house gets clean
my neighbor can't believe that they don't smell .
I told her i was raised if you have pets they have to be kept clean .

But i would like to ask if anyone might have any ideas what could of happen to my girls ?
my Charlie started to do the same thing like Blondie falling a sleep standing up walking slow with head down
and very very easy to pick up without a peep and tonight she wanted to be away from everyone Charlie was
doing good today running pecking looking for bugs the normal things ,
right now i have her in her own cage from the boys and Queenie in the garage but everyone is in the garage
in different spots . 😭😭😭😭 i wished i could of downloaded my video of all my babies

So for me to understand correctly,

Your chickens died suddenly while bleeding out but had no injuries?
So the bleeding out was from their poop only or also from other body cavities?

this happend to chick 1 4 days ago and chick 2 today and the other chickens seem to be fine?

how much blood was their for you to find?
is it possible to send a chick in for a necropsy?

These are all questions so the people who will know about this stuff have more information. I’m not an expert in any way about this topic but I like to help you until one of them comes online

Sounds like coccidiosis, possibly.

Do you have more chickens? Have you inspected their coop and run to see if there are any bloody droppings?

Where are you from? Has it been wet and humid the past 2 weeks where you’re at?

One of my new flocks got coccidiosis and three died. And it has been wet and humid for a week or two when I noticed the blood in their droppings. The ones that died were probably the ones that pooped the blood.

Thankfully I’m on the last week/days of treating and they survivors are looking healthy 🤞

I'm sorry for your loss.

It's hard to know what happened unless you investigate further.
Having blood all over the place, could a predator have attacked?

What does their poop look like?

Do you have plenty of shaped water stations for them to drink while the temperatures are so hot? Was there blood around the vents or vent injury? Getting to the bottom of things to figure out whether this is blood from coccidiosis, vent pecking, or injury, will be good. Look over the nodies for injuries. If you have a body that can be necropsied by your state poultry vet today, keep it cold on ice in a cooler (wrapped in plastic bags.) Here is a list of state vets you can contact today for a necropsy to look for a cause of death:
