We are hatching for the very first time, and on day 15 my toddler unplugged the incubator. I’m not sure when it happened but by the time I noticed, the temperature had dropped to 70 degrees. I think it was anywhere from 1 to 4 hours. I immediately plugged it back in and got it back up to temperature, but I’m afraid it might have been really detrimental :( my kids will be devastated if so. Anyone else experience something similar and still have a good outcome ?

Welcome to BYC!
They should be completely fine. By that age the chicks are generating a lot of their own heat, and it stays warm inside the egg for longer too. And 1-4 hours is not long enough to cause an issue. Don't make a habit of it, but I think they'll be ok. Try candling tomorrow and see how they look.
Good luck with your hatch!

I agree to keep hope. Candle them if you want, or don’t bc you don’t wAnt to open the incubator. But, I would also agree you likely won’t have any issues.

I’m pretty sure they sell things to put over plugged in cords to keep them from being pulled out. Not only bc of kids, so I’m not sure if that kind of item is a baby proof category item.
