HELP! My 5 day old mallard just threw up foam!

So one of my ducklings (squeaky) in the brooder was all excited when I went to grab her to pick her up, and as soon as I picked her up she just kinda spit up something very odd. It’s some foamy substance and it’s coming out of her nostrils and mouth and dripping down her chin. Any idea what’s going on? I’m really worried. Every time I even touch her belly she sneezes and throws up and does that foamy substance. Please reply soon someone.

I’ve started out with a Purina duckling starter pellets (which says it’s for ducks of all ages, with a lot of niacin) that I got from TSC, and wet it’s it’s easy to chew

I haven’t given them anything really other than the pellets. Pretty soon I’m going to feed them things like scrambled eggs and vegetables but I haven’t yet. Would you recommend chick grit?

With anything other than their feed they need grit. Some people put it in a side dish for them to eat as needed. Personally, since I feed crumbles to ducklings, I put it in their feed when I am adding brewers yeast. Are they full size pellets or do you crush them?

I crush them. I’ve heard that a supplement for chick grit is sand. Would that work along with adding some brewers yeast?

And yes she drinks like crazy...at least, up until now. She stopped drinking as soon as it started and every time I try to dip her bill in the water she coughs up the stuff
