I don’t know about sand because there are different types of sand. A bag of chick grit from the feed store does not cost that much. It’s just crushed poultry grit.

I have a pic yeah. No they’ve been completely fine. I have a few brooders and I only have 2 in the one squeaky is in.

And several times over the past hour she’s just stood there, with it coming out, basically trying not to throw up

When you picked her up you made her "vomit". She either ate or drank before you picked her up, and then when you picked her up it forced it out of her crop. She's not sick. I had that same thing happen for the first time to me a year ago. Now I always let the duckling get on my hand itself before I pick it up, and have never had a problem since. You just inadvertently forced her to vomit. Is she doing better now? Mine threw up on and off for an hour after I picked her up. Then she was fine.
