HELP!!!! MY 5 WEEK OLD CHICK IS SICK!!!

I'm sorry about your chick but I'm glad the hen is doing better. You should really try to send your chick for necropsy. That way, you know if the rest of your flock are carriers and how to deal with it if it comes up again.

I would have but I learned of necropsy after disposing of her body. if the other chick dies I am sending her to raleigh nc, so I can see if I can add any more chicks or what. My hen is like nothing ever happened....so maybe just the chicks got sick and I was worried about the hen for nothing??

I'm sorry, I meant to say that if the chick doesn't make it...
Well, it could be that the hen recovered but the chicks immune systems aren't fully developed so they are having a harder time with it. It could also be that she was fine or had something entirely different...

Been watching them like a haw....errr....closely lol. No further signs of illness expect the remaining chick.
