This is my first time caring for ducks. I started with one small flock of 7 and then another small flock of 5. My Muscovy is the oldest, about 7 weeks I think and my crested pekin is the youngest I think 2 weeks old, maybe a bit younger. The rest of the first batch are about 5 weeks and the rest of the second about 3 weeks. I’ve started introducing them in the last couple days by putting the little guys in a big dog kennel in poultry enclosure. Today I let them all mix while I sat with them for 3 hrs. There way minor pecking by the bigger ducks and slightly more aggressive behavior by my Muscovy Buckbeak. I gave him a time out in the kennel for 20 min or so and then let him (could be her. I’m not sure) out when he started getting squirmy. He was totally fine after that for over an hour. Then my 2 year old
got hurt and I had to run and tend to him. By the time he stopped screaming one of my ducklings was screaming. I ran back out to the yard and my littlest baby was caught by the wings on the bars of the kennel trying to escape Buckbeak Who was assaulting my baby. He tore out a good amount of feathers and baby (Nimrod) was bleeding. I bought vertericyn plus when I first bought all my bird supplies figuring it would only be a matter of time before someone got injured, so I had that on hand. Also, I was in the army so I have a pretty decent knowledge of would care and have attended to the wounds of my non bird animals my whole life with an pretty damn good success rate. I was a lab tech in the army so I’m very good about keeping my hands, dressing and equipment sterile when dressing or cleaning wounds. That’s the biggest thing. Anyways, I have basic wound care down, but bird care is where I need you guys. Here are my questions:
1. Does his wing(s) look damaged in any way? I’m worried that maybe he dislocated or broke them trying to dislodge himself from the cage bars. The look like maybe they are sticking out a little more than they did and I think one may be slightly lower than the other.
2. I wrapped his wings just in case, but I also had to wrap his wounds. He already had a neuro problem I think because he fell over a lot and ran in circles. I’m thinking it’s the crest and not a deficiency because i feed all flock crumbles, supplement with nutritional yeast, and use poultry drench vitamins as well as probioptics, so I can’t imagine it being a dietary issue. He already wasn’t swift on his feet and with both sets of dressings he can’t walk at all. We liveon a river and there are so many flies I dare not leave his wounds uncovered. Even with the dressings off he can’t walk well, but I’m pretty sure he’s still in shock, but I’m not sure how much that has to do with it.
3. if there is a wing issue and he has to have both dressings on, what do I do about immobility, food, water, etc?
4. at first I was holding him and comforting him on my chest wrapped in a fuzzy blanket while I research. He was clearly in shock, but after about an hour he peeked up a bit and started lifting his head and crying a bit. Then I read to leave them with a flock ate in a quiet dark place. So I moved him to a smallish box with a heat lamp on one side and put the smallest most gentle duckling in with him to keep him company but she is screaming her head off for the others. Even his flock kinda bullies him. No one seems to care for him much. Maybe because of the neurological thing? But he likes them and tries to keep up. So my question is, is the constant calling of the other duckling going to distress him more or comfort him. He doesn’t look any better than when I put him in, he actually looks worse. He’s been in the house with me his whole life, but he was still the most skittish.
5. Is there a chance he could die of shock?
6. what do I do with my Muscovy?
7. what will happen if his wing is injured and doesn’t heal right?

if you could answer a single question or all of them I would appreciate the help.
