I came home from work today to find one of my eight 9 week old chicks to have a distended and squishy crop I think it might be crop bound so I turned her upside down and drained some of the crop contents and some small feathers and food came out, her crop is still pretty full but doesn't look like a baseball anymore. Is this indeed crop binding or is it something else, if it's crop binding what else can I do? She is currently separated from the other 7 and in a kennel with just water and a old heating pad.

Try a couple ml of olive oil twice a day in mouth after you give the oil massage the crop. Feed soft food like crumbles a mixed with yogurt
