If you do manage to get the egg out, you'll always want to keep an eye on her to make sure it doesn't happen again. Some breeds and/or individual chickens are prone to it, and it can happen again.
Lol! I got her out of the cage the other day to soak her in the warm water again. I always LOOKED at her to see if I could see any change in her vent. That's when I saw egg shell sticking out of her! Bless her heart..... I took her outside and sat her in my lap. I had a small pair of tweezers and she sat very calmly and allowed me to pull these pieces of shell out of her. After a few pieces were removed, she started pushing it out as I was pulling......it ALL came out in one final push! She IMMEDIATELY began talking to me and acting better! She ate and drank ALOT. Not abnormal for Fatty-Fatty on her BEST day let alone one of her worst! Lol! I've kept her in the house for 2 more days so she can get her strength backup and have given her some vitamins and antibiotics in case of infection. Today we got up and my Fatty-Fatty greeted me with her morning cackle and lovingly bit my husband. I KNEW then that she was gonna be JUST FINE! Tomorrow, I will put her back in her cage with the others and PRAY that I NEVER have to do this again! BUT.......if I do......I am MUCH more wise on the situation and will know how to handle it thanks to every ones suggestions and advice! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!! A thousand TIMES......THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!
