Welcome to BYC! Sorry your rooster is sick. Can you place him in a room or cage that's 27 to 30 degrees C?
Yes outside it's warmer like 39 - 41°c, but inside room our temperature is around 25 - 30°c. But I can't risk him going out cause at this time predetor like cats and even eagles hunting. I have already arranged cardboard box to keep him. Just looking for a infrared bulb. Already made homemade electrolytes and fed him gentlyView attachment 1402695 , will bring fish today from market. Staceyj thanks for asking, I have been maintaining healthy and clean environment for him. Still using liquid diet like watermelon, 10-15ml yogurt and electrolytes. And he is specific in eating only the tummy part of the fish. No change in poop , it's still white. He is sleeping 17-20 hrs a day. But i noticed one change that his comb is getting back to normal red slowly. I Tried to keep in warmer condition but he is getting irritated and uncomfortable , so I decided let him sit at his regular place. I applied some liquid turmeric to his feathers and all over body to keep the bugs out.
One of my friend having an indian red neck parrot suspects there might be gout in kidneys after seeing those white poop and he named some medicines but unfortunately all indian online sites mentioned that medicine are out of stock and there was one site called IndiaMART having the product but it's a large pack for 2000 chicken and cost is very high n I cannot afford in present condition, If you guys know how to treat kidney gout in natural way. Please mention.
I found this thread from several years ago and found it interesting.
The initial link no longer works but the thread comments are still there.
There are many foods being talked about for their antiinflamatory properties.
Cherries/ cherry juice/ cherry extract are being used by people with arthritis.
The popularity of Tumeric for treating inflammation is widespread as well.
I am curious, after you put liquid turmeric on your bird’s feathers, did he preen at all?
If not, please try to get him to injest a small amount.
I have no idea how much as a dose.
I’d start with a small amount since he is a small bird.

Eggcessive thanks, I am currently feeding him with every possible good diet. I don't know if there is gout but I don't want to take chance in anyway to ignore. Currently his diet includes :
Morning - Yougart with bread, a very little bit of cooked pasta .
Lunch time - Fish and cooked rice. I try to give him cabbage but he won't eat now. He used to eat cabbage a lot. Currently he doesn't eat cabbage neither he likes oily food. So I had to make sure that the fish is fried with very less amount of oil. I use olive oil in fish currently.
Night - Fish and bit of paneer.
I have been feeding electrolytes every 1 hour. But at the time of night he gets dehydrated, I don't know how to keep watch at night. Every morning the Milky white poops are excessive white. I keep some water near him always butafter turning off the light , he is unable to see it. If I keep the lights on the other rooster don't sleep and start crowing. Can you help me out here and give some idea
And don't give him apple cider vinegar in summer u r making him more stress by giving him calcium u also didn't mentioned his overall symptoms
By this not eating nobody can't guess
His poo contains water that's why its chalky as they urinate much in the summer .
Ur rooster may not be sick only having heat stress by poop examine
He sleeps all day at same place and poop there itself. It's hard to clean all time cause I am in office for 10 hours ... Red ants basically comes near anything fleshy that lies for too long dead or alive. To prevent that I applied turmeric to his feathers.I'm just so sad reading all of ur post are full of anxieties I can understand we have roosters too . we turn off lights ..
Turning off lights give them relaxation and why u applied turmuric paste of their feathers ?????
Saaniya it may be leghorn breed. I don't know much about chicken. I bought them from the broiler firm. Those chicken were used to slaughter in 5-6 months. That's why whatever you guys say I am doing the same. I will even listen to your words and do the same for my rooster. I love both my roosters very much. I have no other way. I am avoiding calcium diet since my friend suspected gout. But I am giving him proteins.
About symptoms:
The day he popped chalkish white he started eating less but I didn't knew anything, so I ignored. After 3 days his poops were full whitish and he stopped eating. From that day he was highly dehydrated and till today. When I joined the forum I thought he might die within a day or two. But electrolytes and change in diet saved him but he still don't eat and take rest for 20 hrs a day.
I have already purchased a Nestle Cerelac containing wheat , oat , banana and corns.
I am going to make gravy n feed him from today. I bought an infrared light but he comes down in front of cooler to sleep. So I didn't try to keep him warm cause he was irritated . So I let him sleep near cooler all day. May be he is having gout or diaheria but I want all those white thigth in that poop to be gone.
