So sorry about your cat and I'm sorry so many folks here have had such a knee jerk reaction. I hope you realize that alot of people here understand where you are coming from.

Alot of people, particularly young people, can be very idealistic and I don't think they mean any harm.

I'm so sorry that happened. All that stress and then an unhappy ending. I lost a cat recently, too.

Still no kittens, this is nerve racking. She has placed herself under my bed where no one can get to her, so I just keep checking on her every little bit. If you couldnt afford to get her spayed, you should have contacted your local no kill shelter to take her in. It is ignorant to not have her fixed. If you cant afford to have a cat fixed, you shouldnt have the cat in the first place.
Im sorry that she had to be put to sleep, but if she was fixed in the first place she would still be with you. You said you will fix her but you want her to have 1 litter first, she should have been fixed before she got pregnant. I still am sorry for your loss. I know what it is like to lose a pet/member of your family.​
