Sadly, My 5 1/2 week old Cayuga duckling from Tractor Supply, died today . I had done all that I knew from good food and vitamins such as niacin, etc. She never was strong, so tiny.
My female Rouen is soo much larger even though they gave them to us the same age, she is full grown looking and very sad and missing her tiny partner, as I was today.

Scarlet,my Rouen, has been trying to convey to me that she needed help with the Cayuga when this first happened. So did my Banty Roosters, yet, I had already done all that I knew to do...and it was a crying time.
I must find another 5-10 week old Cayuga duckling to keep my sweet Rouen from stressing because she thought that was her baby~ As much as I did.
If anyone can refer me ASAP to another duckling from 5-8 weeks old, thank You...

Yes, I looked in the Farms and breeders as well as Tractor Supply and my community to find her a partner because she is soooo stressed and quacking all the time, she never did before and she never used to come up to me... so she asking me in Duck language, where is my baby partner...she is in the kiddie pool constantly now and so it is so VERY sad and I am feeling like if I could find a home for her with other ducks or any duckling aged 6-10 weeks of age here in Blue Ridge, Ga area for her comfort!!!

I feel angry that no one has offered to help to either take this sweet girl Rouen age 6 weeks...and no one has a partner to offer me to purchase ? in Fannin County Ga

I can tell you care deeply for your pets. Chances are no one has offered to help is because there aren’t a lot of BYCERS in your area. If someone was close and knew you were in need, I know they would help you in some way. Any chance you could make a duck diaper so she can stay with you in the house until you can find a solution? Have you put an ad on Craigslist stating you are looking for a companion for your duck? Or looked at the Georgia thread on here to see if there is anyone local? What about shipping from a hatchery?
