HELP! my chick is foaming at the mouth!!! URGENT!!!

Help!!! I just brought chicks home from a hatchery and one is foaming at the mouth and violently shaking its head!!!! What should I do????!!!

If it is choking what should I do?!?

Don't worry, she's fine now... I mushed on her throat and put olive oil down it. Eventually I worked out a few huge chunks of food out of her throat!!! Greedy thing.... Thank GOD she's fine, she almost choked to death....

I'm glad you were there and saved it's life. New chicks can eat pine shavings or bedding too, and get it stuck in the crop.

Well, that does make sense. After I got those chunks of food out of it's throat, I thought maybe it just ate a little too greedily 'cause it was a long trip home... poor thing. GOD was lookin' after that little fella.
