HELP! MY CHICK IS OPENING BEAK BUT ISN'T CHIRPING!

Hi my chick was fine in the morning and all of a sudden she stopped chirping. She is opening her beak as if you chirp but nothing comes out. She is about 4 months and im a new owner idk what to do.

What breed is she? Did you say 4 months? I am not super experienced but have had something similar happen to me twice before. This is caused sometimes by bad ingestion, inhaling, or contaminated items in her throat. For me, the chicks would never cheep (although times it happened they were younger than this.) And kind of just opened their mouths constantly almost like they were having trouble breathing. Both times I didn't find a cure. I might call your vet. I hope that your baby gets better!

I’m not sure of her breed I gave her some chicken booster hopefully that helps

No it’s a bug bite it’s got really nasty so we’ve been treating it.
