HELP! My chicken ate...

No offense taken. I'm still learning. I knew they needed "hard stuff" to help digest. I figured it was all the same. Learn something new everyday!

Could be the bologna ring got ground up in the crop. If her poop is normal, I wouldn't worry about it.

I wouldn't be too worried about her. When my mom was growing up one of her chickens ate a dime and the chicken was fine. But of course a dime is smaller than a bologna ring.

The poop queen has had normal poops! Just no bologna ring!

Well, after two weeks, it most likely has passed. I doubt it is still in her crop. If her poops are normal, the crop has been emptying daily. If it was stuck in the gizzard, she would be showing signs of digestive problems.

So, enjoy your hens...maybe dice the bologna before you take it outside.

I know - I know, these chickens are like crazy piranhas when it comes to anything that looks edible! LOL!

one of my chicks once grabbed a pink hair tie off the floor of my room and she and her sisters played hot potato with it until i was able to get it back

I have a Delaware hen that's top hen.
We have to watch anything we bring into the pen. She will jump up on you and steal it.
She's stolen sweatshirt strings, pants strings, plastic bags, hair ties, ties on slippers, embellishments off flip flops, zip ties, twist ties, ...you name it.
I can relate.

Oh yes! They can do a snatch and run...faster than you can react, sometimes.

I had a hen rip my CZ stud right off my earlobe just a month ago. She was walking on the rear of the coop, where the nest boxes protrude. I was bending down while cleaning up. And wham-mo! She snatched my stud!

Thankfully, I quickly grabbed her head with beak closed, and I snatched it back!

I-yi-yi...these chickens!!!

Hi there! As everyone has said: If she is acting and pooping normal; I am sure that she is fine My chickens have eaten numerous things that a chicken shouldn't eat

Everyone has that one sassy chicken that'll do anything just to get under your skin!

Just being nosey, from one chicken parent to another... What have your chickens ate in the past? I felt like a terrible chicken mama, but Nugget took of with that wrapper and she was GONE!! It was like she was running for a TD at the Super Bowl! LMBO
