Help my chicken has a lump on her foot!

My Pekin bantam is 3 years old, as we were checking her for mites we found this gigantic lump on her foot. Does anyone know what this is?

It could be a cyst or a tumor. How does it feel—solid and firm or soft and squishy? I haven’t seen anything like that on my chickens. I wonder if it has to do with the feathers legs?

Without a vet to check it, or probing it with a sterilzed needle, it is hard to know exactly what it is. I have seen bumblefoot on top of the foot between the toes. I would probably disinfect the skin, and lance it, and see what comes out if you squeeze it.
