help!! my chicken passed away for unknown reason!!

our chicken, red (a rhode-island red) just recently passed away.

She was a healthy chicken and has never had anything wrong with her in her life.

The other day we found her in a corner dead. She had no broken bones, had no blood, and no other signs of sickness.

All we know is that she hadn't been laying eggs for a couple of days. We think the death is something to do with that.

Any suggestions would be great!

How old was she do you know? Also, I don't know where you are, but here at the Florida/Georgia line we have been seeing a lot of dead horses from EEE. I know there is someone that will check birds to see why they died. Usually for free! I think it is the ag dept of your nearest University, but I'm not sure. Wish I could help more! Sorry!

Egg bound is when the egg inside does not pass and gets stuck in the chicken. Chickens often show signs of panting,discomfort, swollen tissue showing from vent or no signs at all. So sorry for your loss
