Help! My Cochin hen has some sort of abscess? Idk what it is. It’s below the vent and huge!

I have her in an epsom bath right now. I thought she was egg bound but then realized its not her vent. What do I do?

Yes her vent is above it and looks fine. Its soft and squishy

Also, when I touched it she kind of freaked out, so I think its painful for her.

It might be a hernia in the abdominal wall or possibly a tumor or cyst. I just don’t know for sure. Hopefully others may have an opinion.

I dont think so. Vets are expensive and I doubt my parents would go for it.

I’m going to attempt to drain it with a needle tonight. I will update you guys with what happens and her outcome in case anyone else encounters the same issue.
