Help my duck is having seizures!!!

When i need to give meds to any of my poultry i use bread. I put the pill even if i have to cut it several times and place it on a small piece of bread just the size they can eat easily, roll it up and scrunch the edges sometimes just moistening it a little so it stays together then I give it too who ever needs meds. My flock loves bread and since I keep it as something special always look forward to having a small piece not realizing there's med in it hiding. :)

thanks for the suggestion of using bread mine will not eat treats yet for some reason. And the one having the seizure has no interest at all to eat.

Update: she had no seizures at all today! I started giving her some electrolytes and mash last night she is now eating on her own! I am shocked at her turn around! My plan is to continue with the electrolytes and keep her in the house one more day to keep a close eye on her. If she has no seizures I will try her back outside with the others.

That is the best news I've heard all day..

Thank you...it makes me feel great that I was able to get her back to baseline. She had no seizures yesterday or today and is still eating and drinking. I put her back with the others today and will continue to monitor her.
That's awesome, I would continue the vitamins for a while though.

It's great to hear that she is doing well! I was going to give my 2 cents and say that it is highly likely a nutritional deficiency issue. Glad you got it figured out. Also, Organic Apple Cider Vinegar does wonders for their overall well being. Use only Bragg's brand. (2 tbsp to 1 gallon) I usually just put a shot glass full into a gallon. All my little ones are extremely healthy and happy.

@Speceider
Could it be worms contributing to nutritional deficiency? I know round worms can cause neurological symptoms in rabbits; is it similar with fowl?

It could possibly be parasites, but but they wouldn't be causing a nutrition deficiency. In rabbits, the parasites are burrowing into neural tissue. If it is nutritional, I would guess a congenital problem where a transport protein in the gut lining is deficient. It also could be an autoimmune disease, but then the seizures would continue getting worse.
