Help! My duck is having trouble walking!!!

Can you take her to a vet?

It looks like she has some neurological problems going on.

What would cause neurological problems and how to you help that? I have another duck with the same exact diet and he is perfectly healthy! I have one bird vet around here and it’s hard to get in. Now I’m freaking out because I don’t want anything to happen to her!

Sorry - does she keep moving her feathers or do they settle into a normal dry flat shape ?

I don't know if the pic you took was just after a swim.

yes I took the picture right after she was swimming. The top of her feathers dry nicely but I feel that the bottom of her body doesn’t dry as well.

Okies - can you pick her up and give her a once over for anything crawling. While you are there, see if you can feel any lumps or bumps.

I know it's easier to say than do, but you are getting her help here and hopefully with a vet - please try not to get super stressed. You are doing everything you can. X

i will do that! What would mites do?

A mite infestation can run them down and they become poorly - it can make them very wobbly and weak.

Back to your earlier question, neurological issue can arise from their own physiology that has been dormant until now, or it can be something they ate or have been bitten by.

We are all trying to get you to step through the possibilities now but she does not look well, so a vet is your best bet if you can get there tomorrow.
