HELP!!! My duck needs help!

What breed and are you supplementing with any type of niacin. If he has been on a diet of oatmeal and fruit for 4 months He is probably needing many nutrients but niacin is very important for leg and brain development. And you need to right niacin if you have a TSC close to you you need to buy Liquid B Complex it will be in the cattle section start giving him 1 ml daily you can mix it in his feed but only give him a small amount of feed when giving the liquid B so you know he is getting every bit of the niacin. Then give him his daily feed. You can also give by mouth but you have to be very careful when giving liquids as not to get it into the wrong hole. Here is info on giving by mouth. https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...dications-to-all-poultry-and-waterfowl.73335/

Do you have a video of the seizures?
Do you have any pictures of his droppings?

The best help for your bird would be found at a veterinarian's office experienced with birds; seizures can indicate a wide variety of conditions, most severe, and over the internet, we can only suggest how to provide basic supportive care and suggestions of what it might be. The more time wasted in treating for various conditions is more time allowed for the condition to progress.

Ideally, with a convulsive patient, we would administer an anticonvulsant such as Diazapam, and start administering supportive care, while samples can be taken to determine the underlying cause.

In the absence of a veterinarian, a thorough physical examination can provide valuable information pertaining to the animal's conditions, and would be a good start to take.

The bird's condition is poor and therefore the bird should be housed in a warm, quiet environment. Convulsive birds should be provided a shallow water dish, and padded pen to prevent drowning/aspiration, and injury during an episode.

Have you noticed any changes in the bird's appetite?

Daily weighing on an accurate gram scale is a simple, easy way to determine if there is active weight loss occurring; monitoring such allows the owner to determine if supplemental feeding will be necessary. Along with the following, I suggest starting the bird on a broad spectrum poultry vitamin to address its previous diet; and consider a bolus dose of activated charcoal, as toxicosis can be a prevalent problem with ducks.

No he’s the one he was given to me as a gift
if the bird survives, once its old enough to be definitively sexed you should get at least one more bird of the same sex. Ducks are very social and require other ducks to be happy. Getting this one well is definitely first priority though
