i woke up this morning to faint cheaping (the eggs are in my bedroom) and discoverd that one of the eggs out of three has piped but a few hours later nothing.
i can still hear faint cheaping when i listen closely but i'm not sure whats supposed to be happening. this is the first time i've hatched eggs so i'm realy worried.
any addvice woud be great.

It can take well over 24 hours from the time they pip until they start zipping and hatch. Just leave them alone and they'll be better off than if you mess with them.

It can take up to 24 hours to pip and zip. Monitor your humidity close and make sure it stays at an acceptable range. Mine stayed between 55% - 65%. Just don't open the lid to add water, drop a piece of tubing down the vent hole if it drops to low.

Good luck!

Pipping is hard work! They need a good long rest before they begin to zip. During the rest period they absorb the remainder of their yolk, so like Katy said, let them have their power nap, they're gonna use lots of energy getting out of that cramped little shell.

i've got them under a light.
how do i raise the humidity, i've already got wet sponges all around them, but what else?

Keep your sponges wet, if they get too dry the membrane will stick to them and cause problems. If you have a humidifier that you can put by them, or even in a bathroom, run a hot shower for a little bit to up the humidity if you have an adjoining bath!

Just keep watching and try ( I say that because I have troubles! ) being patient! If it's been more than 24 hrs you might need to help the chick out by gently breaking away the shell, or helping them "zip" the shell so they can make it out. But don't be in a hurry! If you help too soon they will not have absorbed all of the yolk sac, normally this occurs while they are hatching.

Good luck, keep us updated!

Thanks Riven
i'm trying to keep myself busy so i don't get too impatient.
