Help my emu has a hurt beak!

My emu has ripped some of the soft tissue above his beak & I don't know how to treat it. We live in a very remote area so I can't just have a vet look at it. Does anyone have experience with this?

I wouldn't call a vet if it was my bird. Do you know how the injury occurred? If you think the tear is infected you could treat with an antibiotic, tea tree or best would be emu oil if you have it.
