Help my girl is stuck

O NO .. did she get out ? this has nothing to do with the ditch but speaking of chicken smarts i once seen here where a hurricane had basically torn down a commercial chicken house .. all the chickens were still standing there forming a rectangle where the house was. my grandma took a pic i wish i had it to post bc it was so funny .. they coulda easily went on their way.i knew then that chickens are not kept for their intellectual skill.lol

UPDATE.....She got out by herself. Not sure how she did it. I had a doctor appointment today and when I got home she was waiting in our carport. I was so happy to see her that I gave her a big hug and her own food. I thank everyone who gave me their thoughts and support in my situation.

Granny hatchet. sorry I just saw your question about how long was she down there before dark? It was most of the day. Seems like at least 8 hours. I kept a light on last night to try and keep any predators away. Not sure if it worked but she was still around this morning. that goes with out saying. lol

its ok. i am glad she made it out without you breaking you neck. i have a lot of ferel cats around here and 3 of my own. they are barn cats. great mousers. any way they run from the chickens , not the other way around. i even keep one in the coop sometimes if i see any mice. why would she run? i am puzzled. do you have a rooster?

no we do not have a rooster. they are way to noisy for us. lol we did have one and gave it away to my sister in law.

thats just not normal cat behavior. not that i am aware of anyway. keep an eye out. i think it was something else that ran her or a sick cat. i hope i am wrong. sure wouldnt be the first time.

Nice ending, glad she was safe. I have cats on my place. They just ignore the chickens even when they are out ranging. I guess they know what's best. I do have a rooster and he is VERY protective of his girls. If a cat did go in the yard even after a little one, it would only do it once LOL.

Not really. That is why I was asking if chickens have smarts enough to figure out how to get out of this predicament.
