We are new chicken owners and we were told that our 6 hens were not suppose to lay eggs until 22 weeks. Well this would be mid September for them. Cleaning out the coop this morning a found three small eggs. Two were cracked already and one was untouched.
My question is, Is this good or bad that its so early? My eggs were light pink/ white and very small. Will they get bigger if I start changing their food with the ostrich shell? Any info will help us. Thank you

They should be fine.Their eggs will slowly start to get bigger as the hens lay more eggs. They only need oyster shells tor calcium.I would just start feeding them a layer feed.
