help my girls lay

cool thanks guys any help on going to be a dumb question but how do you make mash

what is the diffrence i just want to feed my girls something extra besides frozzen greens and starter/grower. they love dry otemeal

Sour mash is for chicken eatin and is made by fermenting the feed. See this thread: Fermented feed Warning HUGE thread but insanely informative.

Corn licker mash is for making whisky and should not be wasted on chickens.

so it would not be good to feed sour mash to a laying hen just a broiler..

thanks for the addvice still a little confused should i feed them something diffrent till they lay or keep feeding starter grower..

Alas, you can't make them lay faster so keep feeding the grower feed until AFTER they start to lay. You can give them a handful of oats or sunflower seeds (avoid corn in the summer) I find mine eat more feed if they get small amounts of treats. Mine love cabbage and watermelon trimmings.
