Please help. Yesterday my 12 week old hen injured her leg and the other hens were picking on her. The vet told me to separate and said she can't see her til Monday. I already had her separated in a run by herself, I gave her some B12 hoping that would help her get better faster but then I left to run an errand. When I got back she was having trouble holding up her head. She is still sleeping and it's almost 11 am here. She's been trying to get up but she can't to lift her head. I don't know what to do for her and I'm wondering too if maybe she broke her neck somehow after she was separated. Any guidance and all prayers are appreciated.
Thanks

Try giving a multi vitamin like nutridrench instead. Also, for it to be effective it should be a B complex vitamin and add vitamin e and a source of Selenium as well (tuna or cooked egg will work).

Either the nutridrench or vitamin therapy will take time to work, possibly days but it's worth doing! You can also try gentle massage or a neck collar made from foam pipe covering or bubble wrap. You'll probably need to hand feed and water during this time.

I'm so sorry this happened but we can get her feeling better! :hugs

I will try the NutriDrench. I don't think she will eat, I had to force water because she's so lethargic. Thank you!

If you're sure she won't eat at all, give her all she'll take through water. Here's some vitamins to try. Good luck! :hugs

@Henriettamom919 , good luck with your girls tonight during fireworks time. I feel sorry for animals who have to put up with inconsiderate people. :tongue

Thank you, sweety! They're holding up okay but it won't be dark for almost eight hours so we'll see! The neighbors are already doing noisy firecrackers and bottle rockets and they seem to be acclimating :fl
