In the Brooder
So my mom texted me this morning and it said: "Call me, I have a chicken down"
So I called her right away. She told me her barnyard mix, Roxie, is acting lethargic and not moving. Her symptoms are as follows:
- Empty crop
- Not eating
- Not drinking
- Barely walking
- Hasn't laid and egg in 3 days
- Poo is water, nothing solid
I live in Indiana and there has been Avian Flu reported to have started to strike here, but these symptoms don't seem to match up with the Flu.
Roxie is currently in quarantined in a nice, quite shed, but isn't improving much. Please help! This is my moms best layer of HUGE eggs, she doesn't want to lose her...
