help!!! my hen turkeys not laying and her tom is not interested!!!

I was told when I bought the pair she would lay in the cooler fall months. Now is pretty cool for Missouri. She has 3 nesting boxes, one closed, one a pile of hatch and one a half box. Any help is greatly appreciated. How can I get her to lay???

Turkeys are seasonal layers, she likely won't start laying again until early next year. But you never know. There isn't much you can do but be patient.

when did she hatch? I have read on here that turkeys will begin to lay the spring following hatch.

Okay, thanks guys. She is about two years old....she likes to sit in the hay, just never lays!!! Hopefully we'll have babies at least by next spring

hmmm, we have been letting our girl outside recently, and thought she QUIT laying. we usually get an egg about every other day. then one day we were like, hmm, where is jerri (the turkey hen) and saw her laying down beside a log in the woods. later, she came back to the barn. when we went to look where she was laying, there, nothing. the following day she did the same thing. upon much closer observation, we found she had COVERED her eggs (3) with leaves and they were NOT visible without moving some of the leaves. Watch where she goes and check that she isn't covering them up somewhere.
