HELP, MY HENS INSIDES ARE COMING OUT!

It could have been a shell-less egg, and the membrane could have already been passed. It probably attracted the other chickens. They will scarf down an egg membrane or parts, and the red prolapse can also attract pecking. Just give an update later as to how she is getting along. It can take days for a prolapse to stay in, so just keep her separated.

She has a vent prolapse, but it looks like the others have pecked and injured it. Keep it moist with hydrocortisone cream, Neosporin, or vaseline, and try to push it back inside. A spray of wound spray or saline would be fine, but keep it from dripping with ointment. There is a lot of it out, and she may not recover, but keep trying. Keep her separated from the others until her prolapse stays inside. Has she been laying eggs, and has she pooped? Feel for an egg which can happen with a prolapse.

I can't get it back in and it stared to bleed when I tried to push it back. I am trying

I can't get it back in, I feel I'm doing more damage then good. Might need to call the vet and hope they can see her and help her

It is okay. Don’t force it. Just keep it moist, so it doesn’t dry out. Honey or sugar paste can be applied, and can shrink swelling. But any oil or cortisone cream is fine, too. Vets can be helpful if they are famIliad with chickens and prolapse. I would give the calcium daily. Calcium citrate is absorbed quickest, but other calcium with d, or Tums work too.

Update on my hen:
I brought her to the vet this morning and they were able to stitch up her wound and get the prolapsed vent back, but unfortunately she had a seizure due to blood loss from her coopmates pecking and wounding it. She passed right after the seizure. thank you all for your help

She passed at the vets. The first time they called they said she was weak and they wre not optimistic about her making it. Thank you, she was my daughters favorite Orpington
