Help!!! My Leghorn is attacking me everytime I go out in the backyard.

I did say it was a wild notion. If she hasn't ever been broody before, she probably isn't broody now. You don't need a rooster for a hen to decide to go broody. Like laying eggs, it's strictly hormonal, but not all hens go broody.

I admit having a hen suddenly become cantankerous for no good reason is puzzling. I hope for your sake she reverts back to her old personality just as quickly.

Winner. Winner. Chicken dinner. Guaranteed she will never try to pick your eye out again.

Teach her its not appropriate by "pecking" her back with your finger.

I have a leghorn who behaves the same, they are curious & annoying birds at times. Mine is always just THERE right behind me! She also freeranges, but sticks to people like glue.

And yes, mine jumps up & pulls on my pants for attention / food / fusses / picked up. She is allowed to do this & does it everytime she sees me. She has tried to peck me in the eye before & got tapped, she never did it again.

Leghorns are hyperactive, they love attention, the more the better

Mine are the same, except when you tap back at their combs they lunge for your finger! Several times they drew blood too. :/
