Help! My little 3 wk old has an abscess on his/her chest!

I picked up 4 Amber Star pullets last week and one isn't feathering out like the rest, is bigger, darker and has a taller comb, so I think it's a little boy. His feathers are not all fluffy and clean like the rest. In fact they're pretty bare in spots and NOW he has a huge abscess? (there's no wound), on his chest. I don't have any idea what it could be. I sure don't want to have to put him out of his misery.......

Are you familiar with chicken anatomy? I ask because often what someone perceives as an "abscess" on the chest is actually the bird's crop. Can you take and post some pictures of the bird in question showing it overall and the area in question?

Agree it sounds like a full crop.
