Help, my male quail got his eye pecked out. What to do next?

I have 3 year old quail hens and got 8 chicks who are now mature, 4 males, 4 hens.
One of my male quail got his eye pecked out. I don't know which other male did it. I fear the one eyed guy will become a target. What must I do now.

Yes take him and put him somewhere quiet so he can calm down.

You should clean it now. You can use Neosporin on any wounds to the head and if you have any antibacterial eye medications like Terramycin, (human or pet grade will work) you can apply that to his eyes to combat infection

I can’t really tell if the eye is in there, but cleaning it may help you be able to tell.
