Quail with Growth on his eye

Need help trying to figure out what this bump and growth is around my male quail's eye, he's having to close it alot and struggles to keep it open by the looks of it. I've seen other cases from people but got no awnsers

I pulled the other 2 images from your other thread linked below.

It looks like his eye lid has been torn, probably from another bird picking at him.

I'd flush/clean the eye well with saline, remove any crustiness or pus, then apply an eye ointment in the eye like Terramycin. Do this at least once daily to help the eye heal.

He may always have a bump or lump since it's torn, but time will tell once it heals up.

Thank you so much, this was honestly confusing me but it's good to know it's nothing bad, will try to keep him distant from the other male while he heals.

If it gets infected contact me I’ve dealt with that before it took me hours out of my day every day to get the infection gone from my hen just for my dog to tear through the run and kill her
