HELP!!! my mother hen sat on her chick.

My mother hen was keeping her chicks warm and some how one of her chicks got stuck to her behind. I heard a ruckus earlier today so i went out and checked on her. Changed her water and stuff. I didn't count the chicks at that time I just assumed that she had one under her and that, that one was cold. I work nights so when I got up I went and checked on them again because they were still makeing a ruckus. I thought one got out and was looking for it. Ended up the chick somehow got stuck to moms butt.

I think that she may have a broken wing. At least one of the chicks wings are drooping and she could not turn herself over when she fell. Is there anything I can do for it or do I just let nature take its course. She is still eating and walking around.

Hey, guys does any one have any advise. If she falls down she can't turn herself over. Can I help her by maybe bandaging her wings up?

You can try to bandage her wing to her body in the correct anatomical position. Need to change bandage frequently to allow for growth. Would write more but the human baby is calling...

I've never been in this situation myself, so I'm just guessing..
But maybe the stuff called "vetwrap" that you get at the feed store..
Its kinda like what you would get at the grocery store to wrap a human's ankle in, but it sticks to itself and even comes in colors

I had a hen with a dislocated wing and used that self-stick athletic tape; sticks only to itself and won't stick to the feathers. I used the human variety from the drugstore, which comes in several widths. I just held the wing up in its normal position and wrapped the tape around that wing and her body, leaving the good wing free. She had pretty good mobility with the tape on and it didn't seem to annoy her much, so I'd say the tape worked well for me. Only one layer is needed with just enough overlap to get it to stick. I used too much the first time and it was a huge pain to take off. She recovered after we took it off after several weeks (changed it a few times).
