My new Tom (he is about two years old) is gaping (opening and closing mouth rhythmically and slowly) and putting. His head is pale. He has been eating and drinking fine until a few hours ago and was worm last week by the people I bought him from . His stool is yellow like and stinkier. The prior owner had him for four months and it was just him and her chickens and his hen (she was killed by fox) so he has been with chickens. Any ideas would be appreciated. I’ve only had him four days- can black head hit this fast in adult Tom? Could it be gapeworm ? That seems fast and my hens are super healthy and I have only six hens for four years and closed flock.
