Help, my new waterer overflows!

I spent more money that I normally do and bought this nice easy fill drinkerr. I put it in my coop and it slowly overflowed and flooded the coop floor. Is there an adjustment or something I can do. I really would like to use it, because it will be much easier for my wife to fill, without having to lift and turn 50 pounds of water every time.
Anybody have this same waterer?

I could only suggest making sure that the lid is secured and the base is screwed in as tightly as possibly.

Make sure that the base is flat and the hole the water flows through is pointing in the most downhill direction. (I've never had this kind.)

We have one like that. Do you set it on the floor, or hang it? We've had much more success when hanging. It's also better or the chickens. When it's hung, ours hasn't leaked at all.

I will try to hang it, but I will try it outside of the coop first. I can see that the weight of the water (50Lbs±) could cause the bottom to bulge downward lowering the level of the valve.

I feel like it has to have a leak at the top to be able to overflow. The vacuum formed at the top is what stops the water from flowing.

We haven’t had any issues with ours! That was definitely one of our initial concerns. You just have to find what works best for you

They are a pile of poop. I have 2. Both not in service and hanging in the barn rafters.

1. They have to be EXACTLY LEVEL.
2. Twice a week they had to be disassembled and cleaned in the ball cock pressure chamber.
3. Numerous failures left my big flock dehydrating in the summer heat wave last year.
4. If you hang it to keep it plumb level, the handle won't last being made of cheep plastic.

I was under the understanding that this model used a float valve, or simular and not vacuum?

I should have done like I always do and just designed and made my own. I would be $39 richer!
