HELP! My Polish is acting Weird!!!

I'd go with the vitamin's first, if you are tight on money WalMart also has a parrot liquid vitamin that might be less expensive. The polish might have gotten a peck on the head and have a head injury or a vitamin deficency. Either way I would start with the vitamin and separating it to give it time to heal. Warm and quiet place will keep the bird calmer and give it time to recover.

Update: Well, I have been giving vitamins and apple cider vinegar in water... (not sure if I was too dilute it or give it to him just out of the bottle..) His neck was not improving but he was getting around great so I placed him back outside with his hatch buddies (a guinea and a rooster his age, but not a bantam).

Well the next day when I got home from work I went to feed and check all my birds and I could not find my Polish anywhere! He was hiding behind the dust bathing box I have in the coop..

ALL his head feathers were pulled out, his neck looks even worse now! So I set up a chicken Hospital in my spare bedroom, cleaned his head up and he has been resting for 2 Days...

I feel so bad for my little guy, but he still acts like he wants to live, so I do not have the heart to cull him! He eats..drinks...gets around.. just does all this with his head Upside Down! I think he might be mentally incapacitated...

Just had to vent on the Big bad rooster.. and updating on how my Gold laced Polish bantam was doing. Thanks for the help Miss P and others! I appreciate it... Now I guess all I can do is wait a few weeks and see if he improves in the chicken hospital.....

The ACV is added to water. I put a couple TBS. in a gallon waterer or a half teaspoon in a small qt. waterer.

Ok, then I will keep putting it in his water then. Thanks! I sure hope he gets better... I hatched him and he is turning out to be such a sweetheart.. Very love able! He tolerates being handled so so well! He is from a parent stock of bantam gold-laced Polish but for some reason the breeder has been getting a few white chicks during his hatches, so I tested some eggs for him and sure enough, I hatched this cute little white chick! He was going to cull him so I decided to keep him. He feathered out a gold-Buff laced color with some black speckled and black lacing in his tail... I need to take a picture for everyone to see!

Here he is as a chick I think a week old when he started getting the Buff coloring... He went from All white to this color in just one week!

I'll update with a new photo of him soon...
