Help, my pullet is crooked!!!!!

I didnt realize it was human form....I have some in pill form, what is the dosage? do I crush it and us the powder?

Had a pullet with this about 2 months ago. Unfortunately after ll treatment mine passed away. I'm sorry to hear u r going through it. :( I managed to keep mine alive for 3 weeks but while I was working one day she flipped over and couldn't get back up right and by the time I was home... She had starved. :( so sad. I hope yours works out better than mine did.

OH my, that is sooooo sad. Im very sorry :( My girl can eat, drink, etc, she is just sideways and clumsy, she isnt getting worse, but not improving either. I keep trying and waiting, hopefully she will.

Ok, this sounds as tho it is the closest post to my problem. I have a pullet that I thought was injured in some way. She is humped between her shoulders. She can walk, fly and eat. Doesn't seem to be in any distress - just hump backed. I thought she'd been crushed in a pile or injured in some way. Could this possibly be wry neck? I haven't been feeding vitamins. The other 10 hens seem fine.

Well we can go through it together!!!!! read all the posts you can, they are so helpful! Including mine, the lady helping me is great!!!

I have a book coming tomorrow about keeping your chickens healthy - I hope it addresses wry neck. Would like more info on dosage and such if I am going to be giving her meds.

The treatment worked very well for both of my birds! Both birds had severe cases and are now back to 100%. Thank God. I went by Alan Stanfords treatment for wry neck and it cured both my birds. It takes about three weeks but it does work.

Go to the web site browneggblueegg.com
Then on the left hand side you will see a glossery. Look up and click on crook neck. He gives the exact doses and schedules for the treatment. In his article he's addressing silkies however the actual treatment will apply to any bird with wry neck. This is the treatment I've followed both times and was extremely successful. Thank God. Both my birds were severe and in a bad way. Couldn't walk couldn't eat without my help. But this treatment cured them. My second bird is almost 100% she's sill in treatments. My first bird is 100% and finished. Hope this helps and Alan's site explains the treatment clearly. Best wishes

I have a Blue Polish who was attacked by a cochin and it caused wry neck follow what Realsis has said and know it takes time and patience,my DottieMay is almost back to her old self she still has a slight crook but it is way better than seeing her completely twisted. We have had her inside for almost 3 weeks and she has become so spoiled, she will be walking with her head straight but the second you call her name she will twist her head to the side and come running and cheeping at you until you pick her up then she fixes her head,my kids tell her she is a hambone! Don't lose hope it gets worse before it gets better. Best of luck to you both!
