Trim them and file down the rough edges. But be careful not to cut into the life as it hurts and bleeds quite a lot.So should they be clipped off or filed down so they aren’t sharp?

Yes I do have others, 3 and no they are nothing like him they have no nits and no mites that I can tell, seem 100% healthy
Did you inspect his belly for any wounds the spurs might have caused?Okay, I’m really hoping he doesn’t have a circus of things going on, it does seem like almost all these issues can be explained by his spurs being to long and injuring him( I never knew you had to care for the spurs too) one was almost 3” long and they were both curved up towards his body. After what seems to be some sound advice, thanks @LaFleche . I despurred him, only took 5 minutes or so and cleaned him with hydro peroxide and Blu koti. He was already in bad shape walking and standing wise so this had no immediate outcome but I’m hoping with time and lice treatment he will be his own self again.
His 3 girls I’ve inspected everyday since I noticed him and they are clean as a whistle, no mites, lice, scabs, or anything. So I’m praying this will be the solution View attachment 2268640View attachment 2268643
I think it’s cause the spurs were forcing him to sleep on the floor giving the lice opportunity to move right on him, I cleaned out the coup and sprayed it down and give them all a DE bath asap just for good measure I'm also gonna spray the coup with permethin to make sure all bugs are dead and repeat every week for 3 weeks, what do you think?I think there is another underlying issue that has caused the severe outbreak of nits. Maybe he has an infection or other issue going on.
Nothing standing out it's just really pink(almost red) from his stomach to the top of his legs, all places where the nits were. I'm assuming that's what it's from. Again I only got about 80% of the nits, took almost 30 minutes and decided to give him a break since it cost him like 10 feathers.Did you inspect his belly for any wounds the spurs might have caused?
Cooked oatmeal? Or scramble the eggs with oatmeal at the same time? Millet?I would deworm him thoroughly and offer scrambled eggs with oatmeal and millet on a daily basis.
Regular "rolled oats" for breakfast are actually pre-cooked and you can just wet it down with water to make it mushier or cook it if you want. Any other type of oats (steel cut, crimped etc...) have to be cooked.Cooked oatmeal? Or scramble the eggs with oatmeal at the same time? Millet?
