My pet Rooster Pheasant (Czar) was acting very strange one day and he wouldn't eat very much. Usually he loves grass-and it is winter, but he didn't even eat very much when I got him some. He must have some disease but I can't figure it out.

His symptoms--Puffed up, not lively like he once was, swelling abdomen near/around vent, greenish-liquid droppings, lack of desire to eat, breathing problems, has trouble balancing.

We once had a hen with very similar symptoms--she began to stand vertically and swelled very large at her back end, she to could not balance well, we had to get rid of her. :(

Please help, I would like to know if there are any antibiotics for this disease (whatever it is), before he to begins standing more vertically.

I'm sorry no one has responded.
I have no idea about Pheasants at all.
You may also want to post on the pheasants and partridge forum. Someone with more knowledge about raising them may be able to help.
Also if you have any photos to help others see whats going on that would be good too.

Thanks for the help! He got better after giving him some Quick Chick water. He is doing fine now! Thanks for posting, Adelyn
