Help my silky’s mouth is propped open

Does the blueish area on her neck under the beak feel firm or puffy? How long has she had this? Did it grow quickly? I wonder about it being a tumor. It’s really hard. It’s almost like it’s her trachea if they even have a trachea, it’s oblong shape and I think that is what’s pushing it up into her mouth.

It is totally firm feels like a bone. It’s oblong shape. It literally appeared overnight. That’s what makes me think. Possibly a tumor as well.

The room she is in is not too warm. Right now it might be a little cold, but she has been coming in and out of her brooder plate alright. I am nervous as I don't want her to die, and don't want my other birds sick.
Could be Mucoceles or an impacted Salivary Gland. From what I understand there's really a treatment.

If you have an Avian Vet that can see her they may be able to access her?

What state are you in, @shellirae ? I would read the article that Wyorp Rock posted, and think about treating yourself, as a last ditch effort. You could also send pictures to a local poultry dept of a vet school in your state or area. But if you lose her I would consider calling your state vet lab and getting a necropsy on her. The body must be kept cold wrapped in plastic bags, but do not freeze it. Here is a list of state vets:

@ThePoultryDoc any chance you could try figure this one out?
I would agree

I agree with Wyorp Rock, based on the description, location, and how fast it appeared, it's likely a blocked salivary gland - with that said, I've not seen one in a chicken before. Most often, sialoceles are self-limiting and should resolve in a couple weeks. I would not consider this life threatening. Animals have multiple salivary glands, so digestion should not be effected long term. Hope this helps!
